About the Project
ADDRESS 1 Hospital Road, Nambour
VALUE $6.2 million
OVERVIEW
This project involved the staged demolition of an existing hospital facility, multiple internal soft strip demolition works and the complete demolition of a four-level structural building. The scope was carefully planned to ensure safety, environmental compliance, and minimal disruption to surrounding areas.
The works included internal soft strip demolition across multiple hospital zones. This includes the removal of non-structural elements such as partitions, ceilings, floor finishes, fixtures, mechanical and electrical services, medical equipment, and redundant utilities. All soft strip activities were carried out in accordance with strict hospital and regulatory requirements, with an emphasis on waste segregation, recycling, and the safe handling of hazardous materials where identified.
Following the completion of the internal soft strip works, demolition of the four-level hospital structure was completed. Structural demolition was undertaken using controlled, engineered methodologies to ensure stability and protect adjacent infrastructure. The demolition sequence was designed to manage dust, noise, and vibration while maintaining site safety and public protection at all times.
Throughout the project, robust safety management systems, environmental controls, and quality assurance processes were implemented.
Upon completion, the site was cleared, made safe, and prepared for subsequent redevelopment in accordance with client requirements.
